Please bear in mind that in some cases certain venues will ask you to nominate one of the guests to do this for you. Now this is okay, but being totally honest with you, I can promise you from my Registrar experience and meeting this nominated person on the day, it is not the best of jobs to have to do as a wedding guest. I have never met anyone yet who isn't a total nervous wreck worrying about messing it up especially as they are unfamiliar with the music equipment and remote controls.
If this is the case, make sure that they are aware of these few little tips that I would always pass on to this poor guest by having a quick chat with them before the start of the wedding to try and ease their nerves:.
When the bride arrives at the grooms side, do not just stop the music abruptly. Let it continue playing for a few long seconds and then fade it out slowly.
Once the volume is completely down, it is useful at this point to move the CD onto track number 2 and pause it, ready for when the couple sign the Register later in the ceremony. Bring the volume down to suit as the clapping subsides.
The couple will now sign the Register and have a few photos taken and 2 tracks should be long enough. Just rewind back to the beginning of track 1 or 2 to fill in some time.
At this point, you need to get that last track on good and loud so it can be heard over everyone clapping and cheering as the couple walk out down the aisle together.

Jesus was found, at a similar feast, taking the roles of both waiter and priest, turning the worldly towards the divine, tears into laughter and water to wine. Praise then the Maker, the Spirit, the Son, source of the love through which two are made one. Words: John L. Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father, There is no shadow of turning with thee; Thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not; As thou hast been, thou for ever wilt be.
Refrain: Great is thy faithfulness, great is thy faithfulness, Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed thy hand hath provided, Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me. Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest, Sun, moon and stars in their courses above, Join with all nature in manifold witness To thy great faithfulness, mercy and love. Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth, Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide; Strength for to-day and bright hope for to-morrow, Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

O clouds, unfold! Bring me my chariot of fire! William Blake. Copyright of this song has expired and permission to reproduce this text is not required. Spirit of our God, descending, fill our hearts with heavenly joy, love with every passion blending, pleasure that can never cloy: thus provided, pardoned, guided, nothing can our peace destroy.
Praise and gratitude we offer, for the past which shaped today. On your children wed and welcome here among us, we request health in home and hearts, and humour through which heaven and earth are blessed; open doors and human pleasure, time for touch and trust and rest. Take them hence that, in each other, love fulfilling love shall find much to share and more to treasure, such that none dare break or bind those your name has joined together, one in body, heart and mind.
Lord of all hopefulness, Lord of all joy, Whose trust, ever childlike, no cares could destroy, Be there at our waking, and give us, we pray, Your bliss in our hearts, Lord, at the break of the day. Lord of all eagerness, Lord of all faith, Whose strong hands were skilled at the plane and the lathe, Be there at our labours, and give us, we pray, Your strength in our hearts, Lord, at the noon of the day.
Lord of all kindliness, Lord of all grace, Your hands swift to welcome, your arms to embrace, Be there at our homing, and give us, we pray, Your love in our hearts, Lord, at the eve of the day. Lord of all gentleness, Lord of all calm, Whose voice is contentment, whose presence is balm, Be there at our sleeping, and give us, we pray, Your peace in our hearts, Lord, at the end of the day.

Love Divine, all loves excelling, Joy of heaven, to earth come down, Fix in us thy humble dwelling, All thy faithful mercies crown. Jesu, thou art all compassion, Pure unbounded love thou art; Visit us with thy salvation, Enter every trembling heart. Come, almighty to deliver, Let us all thy grace receive; Suddenly return, and never, Never more thy temples leave. Thee we would be always blessing, Serve thee as thy hosts above; Pray, and praise thee, without ceasing, Glory in thy perfect love.
Finish then thy new creation: Pure and spotless let us be; Let us see thy great salvation Perfectly restored in thee; Changed from glory into glory Till in heaven we take our place, Till we cast our crowns before thee, Lost in wonder, love, and praise!

Refrain: O Master, grant that I may never seek So much to be consoled as to console; To be understood as to understand; To be loved, as to love with all my soul. Used with permission. Round the corners of the world I turn, More and more about the world I learn. As I travel through the bad and good Keep me travelling the way I should. Give me courage when the world is rough, Keep me loving though the world is tough.
Leap and sing in all I do, Keep me travelling along with you. You are older than the world can be, You are younger than the life in me. Ever old and ever new, Keep me travelling along with you. O praise ye the Lord!
